Gordon Street development – support for residents of South Lotts

26th April 2016

The Secretary,

An Bord Pleanala,

Marlborough Street,

Dublin 1.

Re: Appeal against the decision by Dublin City Council to grant planning permission to Oranswell Properties Ltd. for demolition of existing storage and other incidental buildings and the construction of a residential development with a total of 10 residential units at 20B- 22, South Lotts Road, Ringsend, Dublin 4.

Planning register reference: 2992/15.

Dear Secretary,

I wish to support the residents of Gordon Street in their appeal against the grant of permission by Dublin City Council for 10 residential units to the rear of their homes.

The submission by the residents and their Town Planner contain the grounds for the appeal and I have no wish to waste the time of the Board by repeating them here –except to say that I support their case.
This is an exceptionally narrow site traditionally not developed and buildings such as that proposed will have serious implications for the rights of existing residents of Gordon Street to enjoy the quality of life of their homes.

I would be grateful to be kept informed of developments.

Yours sincerely,
