Grow it Yourself

If you’re interested in growing your own food, you might like to know that there is a GIY (Grow It Yourself) branch in Rathgar/Terenure. The group meets on the first Monday of each month at 8pm in Rathgar Junior School on Grosvenor Road in Rathmines. Entry is free.

The next meeting is on December 6th, when the guest speaker will discuss the various traditions around Christmas food. There will also be a demonstration on making your own Christmas wreath from fruit and veg, plus the usual growing tips and gardener’s calendar. Visit www.giyireland.com for more information.
