A Little Piece of Ranelagh History

A little piece of Ranelagh history is to be marked following agreement by the City Council to re-erect the name plate for Moran’s Cottages. The Cottages are a small enclave just off the Ranelagh Triangle and were
once owned by the local Moran family.

While the area is not in charge of the Council and a nameplate would not normally be erected by the Council it has now been agreed to do so following my interjection.

More information on the Cottages is available in the excellent Four Roads to Dublin written by the late and hugely loved and admired Deirdre Kelly. A piece of sculpture in honour of Deirdre will shortly be unveiled on the Ranelagh Triangle.
