Dublin Bay Task Force
The new Dublin Bay Task Force has been launched. I’m delighted to be a member of the task force, and to be the only member from the southside of the city and county.
The Task Force is being established to debate the future of Dublin Bay from Howth Head to Dalkey Island. In particular, we’ll consider the amenity uses of the bay (like sailing and other sports on the water and walking and cycling on the shore), and the ports at Dublin and Dún Laoghaire.
Other members of the task force include Dublin city councillors; council officials from the city, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown and Fingal; representatives of the Dublin Port Company and Dún Laoghaire Harbour Company; representatives of the Departments of the Environment and Transport and the National Parks and Wildlife Service; environmental groups Coast Watch and Dublin Bay Watch; and the Dublin Docklands Development Authority.
If you’ve anything you’d like considered at the task force, drop me a line in the comments below, or send me an email at dermot -at- dermotlacey.ie

Who exactly is on the “taskforce”?
It looks like a collection of Galway Tent gombeen men.
