Letters to Editor – Catholic Church & Women

The Editor
Letters Page
Irish Independent

Dear Editor,

Fr Sean Mc Manus (letters 12th May) is right to welcome the increased number of women elected to Local Councils in Northern Ireland. He would have a little more credability if he campaigned for more (any) women to be apointed as Priests, Bishops or indeed Pope within his own (and indeed my own) institution – the Roman Catholic Church.

Yours sincerely,

Councillor Dermot Lacey
