Letter to Editor – RTÉ Summer Schedule

Madam, – I could not disagree more with Ben Meehan (The Irish Times, Letters, May 20th). In my view the absence of Mr Kenny, salary €343,099.00 and Ms Finucane, salary €329,227.00 from the RTÉ Radio 1 schedules might in some small way help RTÉ once again become a public broadcasting service rather than a forum for cosy chats between contemporaries. Reconnecting with the public agenda is long overdue. – Yours, etc,

Cllr DERMOT LACEY,
